Cyclone Gabrielle Release

Our thoughts are with you

Kia ora tatou te whānau

The thoughts of the staff and board of Hauora Taiwhenua go out to those who have been so badly affected by Cyclone Gabrielle.

We understand that many of you, your families, those you care for, and the communities that you live in, may be experiencing serious personal hardship during these storm events.

Many of you may have been witness to scenes of devastation, your homes or those of friends and family flooding, your communities evacuating, precious parts of life destroyed or put in peril.

As this weather event passes across our country, the level of damage will become more apparent, and there will be significant further emotional impacts as realisation of what has happened, and then dealing with the aftermath of clean-up and rebuilding takes hold.

We encourage you to connect with your friends, family and community. Ask for help and seek support. Give support when you can and also care for yourself.

If there is any support or help we can offer through the Wellington office, or our networks of members, then please get in touch.

Once again, our thoughts are with you.

Kia kaha
