For these roles you’ll be working 8 sessions per week with no on-call work involved.


General practitioners (GPs) receive support from a team of healthcare professionals, including practice nurses, a practice manager, administrator, and receptionists. Additionally, pharmacy and laboratory services are readily available in the town. The Waitemata District Health Board’s community health service provides access to a district nurse and mental health services. Other community-based offerings encompass hospice care, midwifery services, and a birthing unit.

North Shore Hospital, situated 60 kilometers south of Warkworth, serves as the nearest hospital. In Warkworth itself, there is one stationed ambulance, and paramedic services are accessible from Silverdale, which lies 45 kilometers south. While ambulance response times can vary between 15 and 90 minutes, in emergency situations, helicopter paramedic services are also available. North Shore Hospital offers a comprehensive range of services, including medicine, surgery, maternity care, emergency services, acute assessment, and outpatient care.
