We have a fantastic opportunity with a group practice located in New Plymouth. We are looking for a passionate, team focused General Practitioner to fit with our whanau (family) team culture. While a NZ based GP with FRNZCGP is preferred consideration will be given to suitably trained overseas candidates. This person must also be passionate about Maori health and wellbeing.

The practice is part of a holistic kaupapa Maori organisation with a patient registration of approx. 4200 patients. The medical centre is part of a large health and social services provider in New Plymouth, Taranaki, working to enhance whanau health and wellbeing. The medical centre is in modern purpose-built facilities and are Cornerstone accredited. The practice uses Indici computer system.

New Plymouth is Taranaki region’s only city. The waterfront at New Plymouth has a wonderful museum and heritage centre. There is also a stunning 10km walk along the coast with beautiful views. New Plymouth is known for its galleries, parks and gardens. Pukekura Park has a children’s zoo, bush walks and absolutely beautiful gardens. There is fantastic surfing and a choice of 20 golf courses in the region. Mount Taranaki provides skiing and snowboarding, rock climbing and alpine walks along with a dramatic backdrop to the city. The Egmont National Park encompasses the huge volcano Mount Taranaki, and offers lush waterfalls, rainforests and mossy swamps and extensive walks from 15 minutes to 3 days.
