Role We are seeking a General Practitioner (Family Medicine physician) for a friendly, community focused practice located in Renwick, Marlborough. This permanent role has 8 sessions (4 days) per week with some urgent care roster duties. We are a training practice with 5th year medical students with us throughout the year. We are looking for a GP that ‘cares’ about their patients, team & community in a way that supports our philosophy Honesty Respect Teamwork Integrity Innovation Remuneration and relocation assistance can be discussed. Medical Council registration costs and medical indemnity insurance are paid for by the Practice.
Practice This is a wonderful opportunity to join a small, family owned and friendly team of two other part time GPs, four nurses, two receptionist and a practice manager. Teamwork and inclusiveness are promoted within the clinic; everyone has a voice and opportunity to give their input and staff are highly valued. We are lucky to have a small satellite rural clinic in the heart of Wairau Valley, we have a wonderful support of a HIP’s -(health & wellbeing practitioner) that supports our patients, from all walks of life. This practice is seeking a doctor who is passionate about their work and genuinely cares about their patients and the wider community. You will be a team player who is keen to teach students and participate in peer reviews, clinical and staff meetings.
Location Located at the top end of the South Island, Renwick is a small satellite town outside of Blenheim that has a population of 26,000 and is the main town in the province of Marlborough, New Zealand’s premiere wine growing district. We have one of the sunniest districts in New Zealand, with excellent local walks & mountain. We have the beautiful Marlborough Sounds for tramping, day trips, fishing, and mountain-biking. Our gorgeous world class wineries are excellent for lunches & tasting new wines. We have ski fields close by, also Wellington (New Zealand Capital City) is a 30-minute flight away.
