What is the orientation course?

Attend our renowned three-day orientation course to get the best introduction to New Zealand’s health system.

Held every month virtually, our orientation course is the first step into the New Zealand health system for international doctors.

This course is endorsed by The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP), and is approved for up to 17.5 CME credits for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) purposes.

Who is eligible to attend orientation?

Orientation is open to any international doctors who are interested in a comprehensive introduction to the health system and what it’s like to work as a health professional in New Zealand.

The three-day course is tailored to prepare you for your new life and work in New Zealand.

This orientation course is free for any international doctors who are recruited through NZLocums & NZMedJobs into rural practices. The course is also available for doctors not recruited through NZLocums & NZMedJobs, a fee will apply for this.
