This course, run by Tactical Medicine New Zealand, is designed by the world’s leading experts in Special Operations medicine to provide efficient care to critical casualties in austere conditions, or situations without robust medical supervision or support. During the course, participants will gain knowledge specific to Prolonged Field Care (PFC), Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC), and Austere medical treatments and interventions.
This is 4-day focused medical training curriculum, which incorporates a realistic extended evacuation scenario, incorporates methods of treatment, problem solving, as well as medical skill proficiency and sustainment.
This course is open to any practitioner, basic life support (BLS), advanced life support (ALS), or higher trained individual who is expected to conduct prehospital operations in rural, medically austere, wilderness environments or other challenging environments.
