Role

A reputable medical practice in Motueka has exciting opportunities for two permanent positions. While they primarily seek experienced general practitioners (GPs) to fill these roles, they are also open to considering nurse practitioners.  The anticipated start date for these positions is from 25th November 2024 or early 2025, although flexibility can be accommodated to suit the incoming GP/NP.

The role involves working 4 – 8 sessions per week (negotiable) they pride themselves on a healthy work life balance. On-call and weekend duties are required once every two weeks, and PRIME responsibilities are also part of the role. Additionally, the practice offers relocation assistance.   Interested candidates are encouraged to apply and explore this rewarding opportunity in the picturesque town of Motueka.

Practice

The practice has an amazing team of 10 GPs and 1 NP with around 9,800 patients in their books. The practice has a great team of skilled nurses, an experienced administration team, an in-house IT technician and is supported by a dedicated management team lead by a General Manager. We are a certified medical teaching centre and provider of specialist services.

The facilities are purpose built and offer a wide range of general medical services including a travel clinic, sexual health checks, contraceptive services, minor surgical procedures, hearing assessment, lung assessment and nurse clinics. There is also a dentist in the building, and an adjacent chemist and physiotherapist.

Motueka has a lively café culture (with a strong focus on great food and sustainability) and an abundance of businesses focused on helping everyone enjoy and cherish the beautiful Motueka environment.

The town centre and the Motueka Sunday Market are a showcase of the talented artists and artisans in the region, with boutique stores, craft stalls, food carts, cafes and restaurants serving artisan, local products, and local produce. Motueka is a truly abundant place and perfect for growing a wide variety of crops.
