Role The practice is looking for a permanent or long term General Practitioner to work 8 sessions per week. There is a small amount of on call. This practice is looking for an experienced GP who enjoys working with a mixed patient demographic. The practice provides a relaxed and supportive atmosphere, and is partly owned by South Link Health Services, who take the managements stress away from the GPs.
Location Oamaru is on the coast of the South Island, near Dunedin. The town is famous for its superb limestone buildings, coastal wildlife, and the coastal walks. With Art Galleries, Museum’s and great coffee shops to name but a few attractions in the town. There are also considerable outdoor activities in the area, including fishing in the Waitaki River or the nearby Waitaki Valley Lakes, jet boating and sailing are also available. In the winter season skiing is within easy reach of Oamaru. With schooling in and around Oamaru and universities a few hours’ drive away, the children would benefit from this beautiful location.
