Role A Wairoa‑based practice is seeking a General Practitioner (GP) to assist on a short‑term basis, with flexibility to transition into a long‑term role. The short‑term position is available immediately and will run until 29 May 2026. The role involves working 8 to 10 sessions per week.
Location Wairoa is a rural community, on the East Coast in Northern Hawkes Bay, between Napier and Gisborne. The town and surrounding area have a population of about 9,000 people. Staff also drive into Wairoa from the outer rural areas including Mahia, Tuai and Raupunga. Wairoa offers a relaxed lifestyle. The town is on the Wairoa river and has shops, a movie theatre, community recreation centre and sports facilities.
