Role We are seeking an experienced GP for a permanent/fixed/long-term position. The role is eight sessions per week with no on-call. The right candidate will be competent, knowledgeable and culturally adaptable. You will need to be able to work in a team environment within a single GP clinic, with an ownership model of care.
Practice This sole doctor practice has a friendly team serving an appreciative community with good support from Rural Nurses, Practice Manager and Receptionists. The computerised patient management system used is Medtech. The practice is affiliated to the local PHO. The clinic has excellent facilities such as ECG oxygen nebuliser, accident primary equipment and minor surgery facilities.
Location Waipu is a small settlement with Scottish heritage, a perfect place to relax and enjoy the Pacific paradise of Bream Bay. The number-one reason to visit is Waipu Cove, a long sandy beach with safe swimming, surfing and fishing. The little ones will love exploring the rock pools and secluded surrounding. The settlement is also known for horse-riding around Waipu, Uretiti and Ruakaka areas. The beachside cafe is an idyllic spot for breakfast, lunch, or an open-air dinner among the fairy lights. Other local attractions include a museum, art gallery and golf courses. Embark on a 1.5-hour walk around the Waipu Caves where you will find stalactites, stalagmites and glow worms. Or explore the Waipu Coastal Walkway with stunning rock formations similar to the Pancake Rocks.
