Role

A Methven-based medical practice has a permanent position available for a general practitioner starting on April 1, 2024. They are seeking a team player, preferably with a Y chromosome or a couple! The practice has a close-knit team that collaborates effectively. They value someone who appreciates and supports practice nurses and recognizes their crucial role in healthcare delivery.

The role involves working 7 to 8 sessions per week and participating in on-call duties one night per week, 9 weekends per year.

Furthermore, the practice can provide initial accommodation assistance.

Practice

Methven is a medium sized practice with 4700 registered patients as well as some tourists. There are currently 3 FTE (GPs and NPs), and this role will expand the workforce numbers as well as replacing an exiting GP. It is a Cornerstone accredited teaching practice for GP registrars, medical, nursing and paramedic students. The practice has a range of disciplines onsite, including nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, podiatry, osteopathy, dietetics, counselling and health coaching, as well as radiology provided inhouse.
