Role General Practitioners needed to join this fantastic team. This is a permanent or long-term position working minimum eight sessions per week with on-call. A unique opportunity to join a large team of health professionals in a very supportive environment, where teamwork is essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing GP who is ideally confident with emergency care. There are numerous clinics located at: Wellsford (main clinic), Warkworth, Maungaturoto, Paparoa, Mangawhai, Snells Beach, Matakana and Waipu. Initial accommodation and vehicle provided, reimbursement of indemnity insurance and practising certificate costs. Tailored remuneration package for contract 12 months plus.
Location The clinics are located in the beautiful Northland region. The area is blessed with a temperate climate and is regarded as the playground of the North. The region is strongly supported by the agriculture and farming industries, and despite the small size of the town, as a ‘doorway to the North’, it is often buzzing. The clinic locations have easy access to New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland and also numerous beautiful beaches. This gives you the benefits of a quiet and relaxed rural lifestyle, with an amazing urban centre at your doorstep! You will never be short of things to do in this region! The huge Kaipara Harbour to the West and excellent surf beaches to the east. If you want to stretch your legs, the Dome Forest Walkway is another local attraction. Enjoy boating and fishing at the beautiful bays and islands in the region, or a visit to a winery. The famous farmers market at Matakana, along with its cafes, boutique shops and restaurants are not to be missed. In just a short drive you will find rolling hills, native bush and Kauri forests, or beach resorts!
