Role

A rare true and equal partnership buy-in opportunity is available in the beautiful Bay of Islands.  You will work with four General Practitioners (Family Medicine physicians), five Nurses and an administration team, in a warm and supportive work environment. The role has eight sessions (four days) per week, with Saturday mornings rostered between the partners. There is also a well remunerated after-hours on-call commitment, of approximately 1:20. The partners enjoy eight weeks cross-covered annual leave per year. You must be eligible to be registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand.

Practice

We are a happy, low stress practice that strives to provide a warm and caring environment for our patients; going the extra mile to meet their needs and providing high quality care.  The practice has excellent facilities, working out of a purpose-built building with a pharmacy on site. The practice is cornerstone-accredited.

Primary care services we provide for our enrolled patients includes;

  • same day appointments for urgent conditions
  • child health
  • routine immunisations
  • contraception and family planning
  • annual well person checks
  • minor surgery
  • management of chronic conditions
  • care of the elderly
  • dive and insurance medicals
  • management of minor injuries

Location

Kerikeri is located in the beautiful Bay of Islands. It has a wonderful mix of old, new and exciting. The subtropical climate allows for a wide variety of outdoor activities ranging from fishing, snorkelling or walks amongst the majestic Kauri’s at Puketi Forest. Paihia is only 20 minutes away, where there are a large amount of water activities on offer. Across the bay is the historic town of Russell.

The wider Kerikeri area has a population of approximately 14,000, with the option of a good public or private school.
