Role The key dates for this role are Monday 3rd July to Friday 7th July. Overall you’ll be working weekdays, not including Wednesday afternoons and Thursday morning, on-call is required. Sessions times are 9am – 12:30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, 1pm – 4:30pm on Tuesdays and Fridays and 1:30pm – 5:30pm on Fridays. Ideally the Locum taking this role will be available on-call outside the surgery hours, there’ll be an additional $100+GST for every additional on-call session.
Location The coastal village of Kawhia is a great fishing spot for holiday makers, with fishing tours available year-round. For much of the year, Kawhia is a peaceful, quiet place, with an increase in beach-goers arriving over summer. One of Kawhia’s claims to fame is the hot water spring on Ocean Beach. At low tide, geothermally heated water bubbles up through the black sand – you can dig your own bath. To find the springs, drive to the end of Te Puia Road and walk over the dunes.
