We are looking for one or more General Practitioners to join our friendly team. We are a GP owned, busy semi-rural practice in Katikati, in the beautiful Western Bay of Plenty. We are offering 6 to 8 session per week, with flexibility to suit the right candidate. GPEP2 registrars are also welcome to apply.

We offer our GPs the flexibility to choose how many patients they see per session, with their hourly rate adjusted accordingly. This is a benefit our current GPs really value. In addition, GPs can claim up to 30 minutes of additional admin time for each session, on top of the admin time already built into their sessions.

There is no evening or night on-call work. You will be part of our weekend acute care roster, covering Saturday and Sunday mornings with our doctors currently working approximately 1:10 weekends. We also run weekday acute clinics which include GP Phone Triage.

Our busy and varied practice offers something for everyone. You will be joining a highly skilled and supportive team of GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, and administrative staff who work closely together to provide high-quality care for our community. We are proud to be a valued part of the Katikati community, where our patients appreciate the care we provide and the relationships we build with them.

We support the local ambulance service as a PRIME site with all of our doctors and nurses being PRIME trained. When needed a nurse and acute GP attend callouts together (only required during weekday opening hours). We also team up with local ambulance personnel for training scenarios throughout the year.

We are fortunate to have a range of allied health services based within our building, including a Health Improvement Practitioner (HIP), Health Coach, Therapist, pharmacy, radiology, physiotherapy, and laboratory services.

We are looking for a GP who has a great sense of humour, be computer literate, and most importantly have a passion for providing quality healthcare to our patients. In return we will provide a great place to work, competitive pay, and quite often delectable morning teas.

Katikati is a gorgeous town located 45 minutes north of Tauranga in the stunning Bay of Plenty. We are only a 90-minute drive to Hamilton or Rotorua and close enough to Auckland for a day trip.
