Role A Permanent General Practitioner (Family Medicine physician) is sought for a small practice in Inglewood. The role is 4 to 5 days per week, with no on call requirements. We are looking for a GP with good communication skills, team player with a sense of humour. If you also have good people skills and able to work under pressure then this is the perfect role for you! Accommodation and car will be provided for the first 4 weeks. There will also be assistance in Medical Council fees and medical indemnity insurance.
Practice There are three privately owned general practitioner businesses situated in a purpose built premises. Each doctor has their own private reception, consultation rooms, and nursing staff. All are well established practices which have a loyal patient population with often many generations of families being patients of the same doctor. This position is working in one of those practices. There are approximately 1900 patients in this sole GP practice. The team is small but works as a united team, to provide a friendly and open relationship with patients.
Location Inglewood is a service town for the local dairy farming community and the gateway to the Mount Egmont National Park. With a population of 3000, it has good local services and schools, however it is also only 12 minutes’ drive from the city of New Plymouth. New Plymouth is home to a 10km awarding-winning Coastal Walkway, as well as amazing parks, galleries and restaurants.
