Role A practice located in Gore is seeking a General Practitioner (GP) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a long-term role available from 30 November 2026 to 26 February 2027. In this role, you will work eight sessions per week, with no on-call requirements. Additionally, the practice can assist with accommodation, vehicle, and relocation costs if required.
Practice Located just one block from Gore Hospital and 1 km from the town centre, this established Cornerstone-accredited practice serves approximately 8,200 enrolled patients. The multidisciplinary team includes two GP Directors, five part-time GPs, 10 nurses, clinical support staff, a Practice Manager, and a Finance Officer. The well-equipped facility features nine GP consulting rooms, five nurse consult rooms, a minor surgery suite, ECG, spirometry, Butterfly ultrasound technology, and a telephone triage room. Additional support services include a Health Improvement Practitioner, health coach, visiting specialists, and daily laboratory services. The practice fosters a strong culture of education and professional development, hosting medical students, GP registrars, postgraduate doctors, and nursing students. It operates using the Indici patient management system and maintains robust peer review programmes for both doctors and nurses. After-hours care is shared with the local hospital-based GP clinic. Nearby Gore Hospital provides emergency, inpatient, maternity, diagnostic, allied health, mental health, and specialist services, supported by a local St John ambulance service.
