Location

Dannevirke has a population of around 6200, is a family-focussed town with a strong sense of community. It is situated in the Tararua District, which boasts two forest parks, three mountain ranges, rugged coastline, bush-covered valleys and nearly 300 kilometres of river network. The climate has defined seasons, with summer temperatures reaching above 30°C and cool winters.

The town is located only an hour’s drive to the bustling university city of Palmerston North and one and a half hour trip to the famous wine country – the Hawke’s Bay.
