Blehneim

Role

A Blenheim-based practice is looking for a General Practitioner (GP) to join its team in 2027. This position will commence on 1 April 2027 and is ideally for a minimum term of 12 months.

In this role, you will work 8 to 10 sessions per week, with no on-call requirements.

The practice can also assist with accommodation, a vehicle, and relocation support.

Location

Located at the top end of the South Island of NZ, Blenheim (with a population of 49,000) is the main town in the province of Marlborough, New Zealand’s premiere wine growing district. Although it is the largest wine growing area in the country, the town’s provincial nature is still reflected in its claim to fame of having no traffic lights.

Blenheim is one of the sunniest towns in New Zealand, and in and around the town you’ll find an excellent selection of cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, artisan food outlets and golf courses.

Blenheim is just a short drive from the beautiful Marlborough Sounds, home to all kinds of wonderful bird and sea life. Queen Charlotte, Kenepuru and Pelorus Sounds can be explored by boat, bike or on foot. Admire the spectacular scenery where bush and mountains rise straight from the sea, and secret coves beckon you for a swim. Guided fishing and hunting tours provide an alternate way to appreciate the region, and the Queen Charlotte Track, which passes through lush coastal forest and along skyline ridges, offers breath taking views of the Queen Charlotte and Kenepuru Sounds.
