Research University of Otago Rural Health Research Network (RHRN) A team at the University of Otago has been awarded a small seeding grant for establishing a Rural Health Research Network over the next four years, hosted by the Department of GP & Rural Health, Dunedin School of Medicine and involving Ngāi Tahu Māori Health research unit, Division of Health Sciences. The Rural Health Research Network (RHRN) aim is to build an academic research community for interdisciplinary rural health academics and higher degree students living and working in rural communities across NZ, creating for them an outstanding virtual academic research environment and ensuring the University’s social responsibility for NZs rural and Māori communities is addressed. The Network will also establish links with non-University of Otago academics, other Rural Health entities, and rural communities for knowledge-sharing, training and research opportunities For more information about the Rural Health Research Network, contact Dr Kati Blattner, Director Rural Health Research Network, University of Otago.
