“I was lucky enough that my career was very welcomed in the rural areas I have travelled from the West Coast in Franz Josef to the High Country in the Mackenzie. I feel very privileged for the roles that I have had in these rural communities and the experiences I have been part of. Each one of these has contributed to me becoming a Nurse Practitioner and wanting to work more autonomously to provide my rural communities with better access to Primary Health Care. I have enjoyed the challenge of the variety of work, the connection with people across the lifespan, the resilience and culture of rural people - all which has provided a richness and meaning to the work that do.”
