Role We are seeking a permanent role for 2 days per week with no on-call. This Medical Centre is a well-established general practice located in the heart of Wellington’s CBD. It has been providing healthcare services to the Wellington community for over 50 years, initially opening in 1968. The centre emphasizes a holistic and patient-centered approach to care, offering a wide range of services including general medical consultations, children’s health, immunizations, sexual health, mental health support, chronic disease management, minor surgeries, and more. They have a team of dedicated general practitioners, a nurse practitioner, registered nurses, and other support staff.
Location Wellington is New Zealand’s capital city; and with excellent cafes, restaurants, wine and craft beer, and a range of events, it is also known as New Zealand’s ‘Capital of Culture’. The city is home to many museums, theatres and arts festivals, including Te Papa Tongarewa (the Museum of New Zealand), the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, and the biennial Festival of the Arts. Wellington is New Zealand’s centre of government, and third most populous urban area. It is also a leading centre for creative industries, such as film and computer technology. Wellington is the centre of the film-making industry in New Zealand where movies such as Lord of the Rings trilogy, King Kong and Avatar were filmed.
