Role A hospital in Dannevirke is seeking a rural hospital doctor to fill a permanent position and advance the hospital’s capabilities by providing an expanded array of services, including support in the ward, trauma room, radiology, and sonography. The individual in this role will be responsible for spearheading this progress. Furthermore, the hospital offers accommodation, a vehicle, and travel assistance.
Practice This Hospital is a community and Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (the government health agency) owned facility with an integrated primary care service in the mid-central area of the North Island of New Zealand. It is DRHM Level 2 and GCH Category R2. Dannevirke Hospital is the base for community health services, with an integrated GP service. It has eight inpatient beds and three maternity beds. There is medical cover onsite during work hours, and on call afterhours. X-ray and ultrasound is available Monday to Friday between 8:30am to 4:30pm.
