The practice also offers assistance with accommodation, provision of a vehicle, and relocation support if needed.
Location Waimate is rural NZ heartland at its best. The old-style friendliness of people in Waimate is hugely appealing – with a small town that is large enough to still allow privacy and a life outside of work. With a location near the East Coast at a mid-point in the South Island there are a host of recreational opportunities available. A local commitment to cycling and other sports sees many clubs and facilities available for a multitude of truly kiwi activities. Hunting, mountain biking, fishing and walking are all activities easily accessed. Lakes and camping are just up the road and skiing and mountaineering, and vineyard country is all within an easy 2 to 3 hours’ drive. Affordable property is increasingly attracting people from towns all over NZ. Small “lifestyle blocks” and fertile soils encourage many to pursue gardening and other small-scale rural options. Local schools are very community friendly – with secondary schooling locally or if preferred in nearby Oamaru or Timaru. Excellent universities are only 2 to 3 hours’ drive away in Christchurch and Dunedin. As this region is centrally located in the South Island you may wish to visit the beautiful tourist town of Queenstown, Nelson or the Franz Josef Glaciers. See more of the South Island region here.
