Role We are looking for a General Practitioner (Family Medicine physician) who can work 8 sessions (4 days) per week with on-call 1:6. We would like our new doctor to be a team player, someone who has a sense of humour, good communication skills, is compassionate and goes the extra mile for our patients. We are a tight unit and all staff are willing to help out as required.
Practice We have a purpose built Medical Centre which is currently staffed by one GP, two nursing staff, receptionist and Practice Manager. We offer a friendly, fun and passionate team who together look after our 1800 patients.
Location Dubbed the Riviera of the South, Riverton (population 1431) is located 30km west of Invercargill. You can still buy a house with a sea view for $165,000 and a section for under $30,000. Summer evenings see children boogie boarding until 9.30pm, while the adults dine free on the local crayfish, paua and mussels. Want to swim with the dolphins? Well you don’t have to pay here.
