Role There is a position available for a General Practitioner (Family Medicine Physician) or NZ registered Nurse Practitioners required in sunny Motueka. They are seeking a GP or NP who is patient focused, energetic and a team player willing to work 8 sessions per week however this is flexible. A willingness to participate in PRIME (Primary Response in Medical Emergencies) and on-call is preferred. With a great team of GP’s and NP’s these average out to be about 5 Saturday or Sunday session a year and 10 week day sessions. If you are personable, flexible, team focused with a great sense of humour then this is the role for you.
Practice The practice has an amazing team of 10 GPs and 1 NP with around 9,800 patients in their books. The practice has a great team of skilled nurses, an experienced administration team, an in-house IT technician and is supported by a dedicated management team lead by a General Manager. We are a certified medical teaching centre and provider of specialist services. The facilities are purpose built and offers a wide range of general medical services including a travel clinic, sexual health checks, contraceptive services, minor surgical procedures, hearing assessment, lung assessment and nurse clinics. There is also a dentist in the building, and an adjacent chemist and physiotherapist.
Location Motueka is a vibrant and friendly town situated near Nelson, boasting the best climate with the most sunshine hours. This town is home to 8300 people and offers a full range of services including secondary and primary schools. In the surrounding countryside you’ll find orchards and vineyards that produce some of New Zealand’s finest fruit and wines.
