Matamata

Role

We are looking for a GP that is hard-working and keen to work as part of a friendly team in a rural community.  We run an innovative clinic in which paramedics and nurse prescribers work with our GPs to provide chronic and urgent care.  Our after-hours care model involves paramedics covering all weeknight calls, while GPs split weekend duties 1:9 with Monday off following a weekend on.

Practice

This is a large and well-staffed practice in modern facilities with a private 33-bed charitable trust hospital, pathology lab, pharmacy and radiology onsite. The practice employs eight full-time and one part-time general practitioners; they are supported by practice nurses, receptionists, Business Manager, and Clinical Lead

We care for over 15,500 registered patients from a wide variety of backgrounds and employed in fields ranging from agriculture to software engineering.  We strive to provide equitable care and have partnered with Te Hauora o Ngāti Hauā to increase access for our Māori patients in the village of Waharoa.
