This Martinborough practice is seeking a GP to fill a long-term role ideally from the beginning of June however this is flexible. They are willing to consider short-term cover also.

For the role there is no on-call and 8 sessions per week.

These is also accommodation provided for the GP wanting to fill this role.

The closest base hospital is 40 kilometres away, on the outskirts of Masterton. Masterton Hospital is a brand new facility, covering all aspects of secondary health care including medical, surgical, obstetric, paediatric, assessment and rehabilitation for young and older adults, high dependency care and mental health. Also provided is a 24-hour acute/emergency service and an ambulance service.

Packed with colonial charm, Martinborough features over 20 wineries, most within cycling and walking distance of the quaint village square. Some of New Zealand’s best pinot noir comes from the town’s predominately family-owned vineyards, so it’s not surprising it is a key stop on the Classic New Zealand Wine Trail. Several bike hire companies can be found in the village and you can pick up a map from the local visitors centre.
