Role This practice has a short-term role available for a GP (family physician) to join their team in the lakeside town of Mangakino from the 1st of September to the 30th of December 2023. They are looking for 9 – 10 sessions a week to be covered. The practice uses Medtech32 with no PRIME or on-call work involved. The practice is also able to offer accommodation assistance.
Location Located in the centre of the New Zealand North Island, Mangakino is the perfect place for anyone seeking tranquillity, or outdoor adventure. The Waikato River Trails Trust has completed 100kms of walking and cycling trails which run alongside the township of Mangakino. Mangakino is ideal for exploring the nearby tourist areas of Taupo and Rotorua and easy driving distance to the ski-fields of Mt Ruapehu. Whether you are an experienced skier or a beginner, the ski-fields of Whakapapa and Turoa provide amazing skiing and snow-boarding experiences. Situated right on New Zealand’s largest lake, Taupo is a thriving town with an excellent selection of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. In Rotorua you can enjoy visits to recreations of historical Māori villages, agricultural tourism farms and see fantastic thermal activity with many geysers, mud pools and hot baths.
