The practice is seeking a flexible and easy-going GP who enjoys a good work-life balance but is also passionate about their work and prepared to go the extra mile for their patients. This is a family and team-oriented practice with excellent staff and friendly and appreciative patients. A female GP is preferred to have a balanced practice.

The role includes working 6 – 10 sessions per week with on-call and PRIME required. (PRIME training can be provided)

You will be joining a friendly practice, working alongside the GP owner who offers great support and supervision if required.

The closest base-hospital is Dunedin, about 200 kilometres (two and a half hours) away from the practice. The local hospital is Dunstan Hospital in Clyde, about seven kilometres (ten minutes) from the practice.

Alexandra is a thriving service centre, with a population of over 5,000, catering to the needs of a prosperous orchard, vineyards and sheep farming district. There are several local pre-schools, three local primary schools and one local high school in the area.  Alexandra has a growing population, with a younger demographic developing who enjoy the recreational lifestyle of the region. It is an affordable area to live and invest in property. The spectacular scenery of the riverside location and the proximity to the lakes and ski fields of the Southern Alps make Alexandra the ideal place to call home.
