DESCRIPTION:Our Rural Health Careers Promotion programme is touring in the Northland Region! \nIf you are a school or clinic practice in this region or these towns\, please feel free to contact emily.murrayragg@htrhn.org.nz if you wish to get involved with the programme. \n\nThe Rural School Visits is an interactive workshop where volunteer tertiary health students majoring in a range of health professions (i.e. dental\, nursing\, physiotherapy\, etc) who have come from rural backgrounds or are interested in working rurally after graduation\, will give a 1-2 hour  workshop with fun activities teaching year 9 – 13 students about human anatomy\, and what it’s like studying medicine and health – all through practical techniques that they’d use in real rural health careers (i.e. checking blood pressure\, making dental molds\, etc).
